MAJOR GENERAL (RETD) SHASHIKANT PITRE
Maj
Gen Shashikant Pitre was commissioned into Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army
in 1962. During his chequered
service spanning 36 years, he has served on all the active borders of India. He has participated in the 1965 and 1971 wars
and the IPKF operations in
Sri Lanka during 1987- 90. He retired from the
Army in 1998 after serving in senior command and staff positions. General Pitre has been a prolific writer. His
columns appear widely in Marathi dailies on military matters. He has also authored a book on the
Kashmir Imbroglio, titled “Domel Te Kargil” in Marathi, which was adjudged as
the best book of 2001 by Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, a prime literary forum.
General Pitre is the founder chairman of NGO HORIZON dedicated to humanitarian demining. The NGO has worked in Sri Lanka and in Jordan since 2003. The General is a Trustee of Queen
Mary Technical Institute for disabled soldiers.
He also works for few other social organization like Vidyarthi Sahayal
Samiti and Lokhande Charitable Trust.

Started his Career with Southern Railways in the year 1990 moving on to

Dr. Narendra Gore
Narendra has been working in designing IT strategies and architectures those
yield cost effective business solutions.
Narendra has a strong background in creating roadmaps, strategies and
service oriented architectures (SOA) using leading edge technologies coupled
with tactical business planning. Narendra works as the SOA
Solutions Lead in IBM, India. Previously,
he has worked as a CIO for the US unit of a European
Automotive company. His experience
also includes working as a Senior Director at Fujitsu Consulting Inc, and Senior
Manager at BearingPoint in USA. Narendra received 2 national awards from Department of Science and Technology,
India at National Science Congresses held in Goa (1993) and Jaipur (1994).

Mr. Dikshit has done extensive research in the field of
